Job Description:

Avis Budget Group is seeking a Car Sales General Manager to oversee one of our retail car sales locations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, optimizing inventory, and managing the customer journey from test drive to final purchase.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily operations of the car sales location to meet revenue and operational goals.
• Oversee, coach, and develop the sales team to consistently meet or exceed vehicle sales quotas.
• Forecast monthly sales and manage inventory levels across all makes and models.
• Train staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
• Establish and track individual sales goals; provide performance feedback and motivation.
• Assist in complex negotiations and closing customer sales when needed.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve escalated concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor key performance metrics and adjust operations as needed to optimize profitability.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of retail car sales management experience.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven leadership abilities with strong coaching and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in social media, mobile apps, and sales/marketing technologies.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work on-site; remote work is not available for this role.
