Retail Car Sales Manager

Position Overview:

Avis Budget Group is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Retail Car Sales Manager to oversee retail car sales operations at one or more locations. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring accurate documentation, title processing, deal structuring, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You’ll support the retail sales team in delivering excellent customer service while maximizing profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Leadership and Support
• Support the store in achieving consistent and profitable vehicle sales.
• Train and guide sales team members on vehicle specifications, sales methods, and F andI (Finance and Insurance) processes.
• Work collaboratively with the store GM, corporate, and third-party partners to boost performance.
• Deal and Documentation Management
• Oversee and execute documentation and title tasks for all retail transactions.
• Ensure deals comply with bank approval requirements and are structured correctly.
• Handle e-signatures, e-contracting, and compliance documentation.
• Verify and manage insurance, trade payoffs, deposits, and down payments.
• Audit and process funding documentation and ensure timely completion.
• Registration, Title, and Compliance
• Process all registration and title applications post-sale.
• Coordinate with tag agencies and customers to resolve title or registration issues.
• Ensure accurate sales tax reporting and adherence to all relevant laws.
• Stay current on and enforce compliance policies including OFAC, FTC rules, Red Flag, Form 8300, and more.
• Collaboration and Reporting
• Participate in weekly coordination calls with corporate and support teams.
• Track progress, ensure timely deal funding, and manage contracts in transit.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding paperwork, funding, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of combined experience in retail car sales management and F andI (Finance and Insurance).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience using systems such as V-Auto, VinSolutions, Dealertrack DMS, Darwin, and CRM tools.
• Background as a Title Clerk or in handling car title and registration paperwork.
• Proficiency with deal structuring, compliance, and documentation auditing.
